The little startup brand

This is a story about a little startup brand.

Like lots of other little brands, what it wanted more than anything else in the whole wide world, was to grow up to be a big brand.

One day the little brand read a post by a growth hacker who was crushing it on LinkedIn:

“Growth Hacking Made Simple: 5 Hacks for Building a Billion Dollar Business.”

The little brand liked the sound of that.

So, it signed up to learn more.

And followed the advice in every single one of the twice daily emails the growth hacker sent for the next month and a half.

But try as it might, nothing the little brand did seemed to work.

“You need my new online course,” announced the growth hacker in email number 149.

And although it stretched its little startup budget, the little brand splashed out the mid four-figure sum required to gain entry to:

“Super-Secret Secrets of Growth Hacking”

And was confident the investment would pay off.

It didn’t.

But the growth hacker assured the little brand in email number 554, that the next course would.

So the little brand joined course number two:

“MORE Super-Secret Secrets of Growth Hacking.”

And so, it went on…

Until one day, the little brand had to move back in with mummy and daddy brand.

Because it had no more money left and didn’t like eating out of bins.

But everything worked out in the end.

The little brand finally found the answer it had been looking for in:

“YET EVEN MORE Super-Secret Secrets of Growth Hacking.”

It pivoted and became a growth hacker.

And now it writes articles on LinkedIn like:

“Growth Hacking Made Simple: 5 Hacks for Building a Billion Dollar Business.”

So other little brands can realise their dreams of becoming big brands too.
